Volunteers are sometimes seen as separate and different from the team of paid workers and organisations often do not utilize their full potential. A key question we will consider is how the recruitment process can be used select volunteers who will make an effective contribution to organisational objectives whilst also having their own needs fulfilled. The workshop explores the issues involved in ensuring that the best volunteers are recruited to the organisation and that they are encouraged to continue to be reliable, creative and well motivated. You will also be able to consider the organisational dynamics and structures that often give rise to conflict between paid and unpaid staff, and ways of minimising such difficulties.
This course can be tailored to meet your specific needs and delivered in-house.
