Resolving disputes

As a charity or a voluntary organisation you are not exempt from complying with employment legislation. The Legal Advisory Service receives countless calls from Management Committees who have failed to adequately follow a reasonable procedure and are being taken to an Employment Tribunal. Furthermore, as of 1st October 2004, there is now a statutory requirement to offer all employees a minimum disciplinary and grievance procedure. Failure to follow a fair procedure will result in a successful unfair dismissal. Are you complying with the law?
This one day course will examine the new statutory requirements for disciplinary and grievance procedures and how you should apply them in practice. We will also consider redundancy and failure to pass the probationary period.
This course can be tailored to meet your specific needs and delivered in-house.
