24 April 2007
6 November 2007
With: Tamara Gittleson

Success in today’s organisation is closely related to the ability to communicate ideas and messages effectively and succinctly. This workshop will help boost your confidence and make you more effective in both report writing and producing accurate, easy to understand minutes, including: communicating ideas in a clear and concise way; preparing for meetings; active listening and note-taking; identifying the roles of those attending the meeting and learning different styles of taking minutes. You will also learn how to prepare and plan and about the importance of being persuasive.

This course can be tailored to meet your specific needs and delivered in-house.

Comments from previous courses:

“I have never taken the minutes for a meeting before, so I liked the fact the session was split into theory, discussion and exercises”

“The minute taking was very informative, it really opened my eyes in terms of sample ways of dictating. I have many more ideas of how to do this now”

“I liked having practical lessons/time in which to utilise the new skills learned”

“As I said, from having no knowledge about minute taking, I feel more confident about my first meeting”

“Tamara was very enthusiastic – I don’t know how anyone could be about minute taking and reports – thank God she is or it would be a painful session”
