Age discrimination
5 September 2006
With: Julie Bann
Are you ready for the new act on age discrimination coming into force in October 2006?
The new Act will make age discrimination in employment and vocational training illegal from 1 October 2006. It will cover private and public sectors and every member of the workforce, young and old. It will affect the way companies advertise for, select, pay, promote, make staff redundant and retire their staff. Are you prepared for the changes in culture and practice required to avoid being tripped up?
This comprehensive workshop will highlight the main points of the legislation for employers. It will include recruiting and advertising for staff, changes to age limits for unfair dismissal and redundancy rights, the default age for retirement and the employer’s duties in relation to retirement.
This course can be tailored to meet your specific needs and delivered in-house.
