Managing sickness absence

4 October 2006
With: Rowena Wood

This workshop is intended to provide you with the tools for managing sickness absence, building from the basic knowledge you will need to recognise and analyse trends in sickness absence patterns and the principles of absence management policy. While examining the common causes of sickness absence the workshop explores a number of related issues, notably with respect to the role of different organisational and social cultures. You will explore ways of reconciling the tension between the aims of controlling absence in order to protect the service, and policies aimed at supporting and protecting the individual, thus providing a basis upon which to formulate a clear strategy for optimising return to work and rehabilitation.

This course can be tailored to meet your specific needs and delivered in-house.
